CLAUDIO PALLARO

Claudio PALLARO – tenor saxophone, compositions
CCo-founder of Pee Bee. An Italian born in Geneva, he began playing the saxophone in a brass band before turning to jazz. He then moved to the United States, where he honed his skills as a composer, arranger and saxophonist, studying with George Garzone, Ed Tomassi and Jerry Bergonzi at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Since returning to Europe, he has been involved in numerous collaborations as a composer and arranger, across a wide range of musical genres, from jazz trios to large salsa orchestras. He has notably worked with the band ‘Dis bonjour à la Dame’, a leading act on the acid jazz scene. Keen to return to a solo role, he founded his own trio in 2010. In 2018, he formed the Pallaro-Haboyan Quartet with Hubert Dupont and John Betsch.

Pierre PERCHAUD – guitar
Born into a family of musicians, he began playing the guitar at the age of six. In 1999, he obtained his Diploma in Musical Studies from the Angoulême Conservatoire and joined the class of the Spanish maestro Alberto Ponce at the CNR in La Courneuve. There, he was awarded first prize in 2001 by a unanimous decision of the jury. In 2002, he turned his attention to jazz and continued his studies at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood, where he was awarded a diploma of excellence. Since the mid-2000s, he has shared the stage with numerous artists such as Anne Paceo, Michel Legrand, Sophie Alour, Charlier/Sourisse, Vincent Peirani, Emile Parisien and Michel Portal. From 2009 to 2013, he was a member of the Orchestre National de Jazz, under the artistic direction of Daniel Yvinek.
He is also a key member of the Shed Music collective alongside Karl Jannuska, Christophe Panzani and Tony Paeleman.

Luc ISENMANN – drums
IHe began playing the drums at the age of 9 and went on to study at the Strasbourg Conservatoire. From jazz to rock via classical music, this all-rounder also took part in contemporary music projects before moving to Paris in 1994 and joining the CNSM. He trained under Daniel Humair, François Jeanneau, Hervé Sellin and Jean-François Jenny-Clark. He graduated from the CNSM with a First Prize in Jazz in 1997, and went on to win First Prize for soloist at the Avignon Competition as well as at the La Défense Competition with the group Kassalit. He is a member of the David Patrois Trio+2 and has also performed alongside Jacky Terrasson, Ricky Ford, Aldo Romano, François Jeanneau and the Laurent Mignard Pocket Quartet, to name but a few.

Hubert DUPONT – double bass
Hubert Dupont is a leading figure in contemporary French jazz and a notable activist with a unique career path; he has been at the heart of the movements that have shaped American and European jazz over the past 25 years; he is also accustomed to engaging with music from other cultures, whilst remaining true to his own artistic vision. Having accompanied legends such as Robin Eubanks, Steve Lacy and Harold Land, he has also drawn inspiration from African (Sabar Ring), Indian (Chander Sardjoe) and Middle Eastern (Keyvan Chemirani) music, placing himself at the crossroads of modernity. His fellow musicians include Benoît Delbecq, Guillaume Ort, Stéphane Galland, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Naïssam Jalal, Magic Malik, Nelson Veras and Airelle Besson…
