Paul Bessone saw Vicki Rummler singing for the first time in a luxury Parisian hotel where she was superbly interpreting jazz standards. But that’s not really what he wanted for Juste Une Trace; we needed to find something new.
With her natural soprano voice which isn’t afraid of the lower register either, she chose a subtle mix of jazz, funk, blues, Brazilian or African influences, some personal compositions, and a few fun covers.
