Four months after the release of Écrasés par notre Héritage, an album where rage and introspection collide, Split Brain unveils a new facet of their work by presenting a fully instrumental version of their compositions.
By stripping the tracks of their vocal charge, this streaming edition highlights the raw power of the compositions and reveals the full richness of the band’s musical textures. “The previous album ended on a bass arpeggio that hinted at a sequel… It now opens this album, keeping the same key. The arpeggio is more refined, more varied,” explains Rémi, a member of the band. This instrumental version offers a different perspective on the tracks, allowing listeners to explore the nuances of the arrangements, with analog recordings.
The idea of releasing instrumental versions came from the label. They may surprise longtime fans, intrigue new listeners, and offer a fresh perspective on the compositions. More than anything, they create new sensations and expand the imagination in a way that only instrumental music can.
