SINGLES AND A DEBUT ALBUM FOR COURANT D’AIR

Behind the Courant d’air project lies Célestine de Williencourt, a sound explorer. This versatile musician approaches the voice as an instrument in its own right, a malleable texture that blends with flutes, the Balkan kaval, percussion and synthetic soundscapes.

Alone on stage with her machines and looper, she crafts a unique aesthetic guided by instinct and improvisation. Her approach, at the crossroads of alternative pop, jazz and chanson, echoes the boldness of artists such as Björk and Camille. Through distinctive rhythmic structures and meticulous attention to breathing, Courant d’air offers a constantly evolving musical journey, unbound by traditional formats.

Virevol: a manifesto of freedom
The artist’s debut album, entitled Virevol (due for release on 25 September 2026), has a resolutely independent identity. This neologism evokes a tipping point – the precise moment when one chooses to break free from the rules to face the unknown. Across ten original tracks, the project unfolds a strong identity in which the vocals oscillate between pure improvisation and whispered confidences.

A sound that straddles the intimate and the wild
This album is built around contrasts. Courant d’air lays bare its vulnerabilities and certainties within a raw creation, influenced by the work of Björk, Camille and Leïla Martial. The vocals serve as the backbone of the whole, guiding the listener from stripped-back ambient pieces to more intimate or incisive pop tracks. A dialogue thus emerges between the acoustic elements — percussion, breaths and flutes — and the electronic arrangements, where the synthesiser gains in depth.

New Release J’attends l’été by Paul Péchenart

Paul Péchenart’s new album (releaase date : february 13), « J’attends l’Été » (I’m Waiting for Summer), showcases a rare thematic and emotional richness. If we were to give it a cinematic classification, it would be that of a dramatic comedy: the lightness of certain sequences sits alongside darker atmospheres. It is from this controlled opposition that the album draws its depth and distinct character.

The overall mood is marked by a gentle melancholy, which is constantly nuanced and illuminated by flashes of a resolutely sunny enthusiasm.

Chronicle of the Everyday
« J’attends l’Été » is primarily a sensitive chronicle of daily life, a collection of stories, feelings, and sensations. The album offers a privileged perspective on the singular and sharp way Paul Péchenart, founding member of DOGS, views the world and the individuals who inhabit it.

This work is consistent with the career path of this authentic French rock guitarist. True to his approach, he favors alternative scenes and audiences who appreciate an authentic, uncompromising, and grassroots spirit.

Spontaneity and Subtlety
Like all his previous work, « J’attends l’Été » is a concise, direct, and spontaneous album. While never resorting to unnecessary complexity, Paul Péchenart demonstrates a remarkable attention to detail and precision.

This high standard is reflected in the crystal-clear lyrics and the subtly rich production. The latter reveals itself progressively to the listener: a riff, a discreet note, or a new meaning to the words emerges with each new listen. By using only a few essential ingredients, Paul Péchenart proves his unique ability to craft genuine musical treats.
